World Tai Chi and Qigong Day
World Tai Chi Day
Each year on the last Saturday in April at exactly 10:00 am one of the largest human events in the world takes place. People from around the world, in unison, participate in the World Tai Chi and Qigong Day. People around the world, in more than 60 countries, gather as a group to perform their favorite tai chi routine in unison. The events usually take place in large cities around the world.
The purpose of this event is to promote the health benefits of tai chi and qigong to as many people as possible. The events are organized as community events usually taking place in public parks. Promoters try to extend an invitation to all in the community to come and participate or just to watch and learn.
Unfortunately my town does not yet have an event in my area, so I travel about 150 miles north to a place called Sardis Lake. The event starts at 10:00 am on Saturday so my family and I arrive in Oxford Friday night and get a motel room to spend the night so we ... more
